Rotary club encourages community to enter Talent Quest

Esperance Bay Rotary Club are encouraging the community to enter the newest edition to this year’s Esperance Foreshore Festival, with cash prizes up for grabs.

The New Years Eve event will now feature an Esperance Talent Quest, inviting musicians, magicians, comedians and anyone with a talent to showcase.

The Rotary Club have managed to purchase a new portable stage and dance floor for the event, a donation from the Goldfields Esperance Development Commission Community Chest Funding.

Esperance Bay Rotarian Renae Poot said the items would be available to the community for hire, with proceeds going to activities undertaken by the Club.

“Organising the Busking Competition last year we noted there was not a portable all terrain stage and dance floor readily available in Esperance,” she said.

“We’re inviting all to bring their ‘A game’ and strut their talent on the stage.”

Competitors will be awarded based on a public voting system, with first place awarded $200, second $100 and third $50.

The festival will be held on December 31, with entertainment, activities, food vendors and market stalls.
