Esperance police have handed out four speeding fines, three summons for no authority to drive, and one charge of drink driving since last Saturday.
In this past week, police have conducted more than 300 random breath tests with only one person charged with excess of 0.08 per cent blood alcohol.
On Sunday morning police stopped a Bunbury man on Goldfields Road (near Norseman Road) for a random breath test.
The 31-year-old driver provided a positive reading and was charged with excess 0.08 percent and had his driver’s licence disqualified on the spot for eight weeks.
The man will appear in Esperance Magistrate Court on October 10.
