Bureau of Meteorology predicts high chance of rain

The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted a very high chance of rainfall and strong winds this weekend.

Thursday:  

Max 28

The forecast for the rest of Thursday holds a 90 per cent chance of rain. 

The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted the chance of a thunderstorm late this afternoon and evening. 

Right now it’s partly cloudy.

Winds north to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h turning westerly 30 to 40 km/h in the late afternoon then decreasing to 25 to 30 km/h in the evening.

Fire Danger - Low-Moderate.

Friday 

Min 13 – Max 21

Friday holds a 95 per cent chance of showers, with the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. 

Partly cloudy and gusty winds. Winds northwesterly 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 30 to 40 km/h in the morning then tending westerly in the evening.

Sun protection recommended from 9:00 am to 2:40pm, UV Index predicted to reach six, which is considered high.

Saturday

Min 9 – Max 16

Showers are tipped to ease on Saturday, as only one to four mm has been predicted, most likely in the morning, with possible hail.

Chance of any rain sits at 80 per cent today.  

Partly cloudy and windy. Winds west to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h.

Sunday

Min 8 – Max 18

Partly cloudy, showers increasing on Sunday, with a 80 per cent chance of  1 to 3 mm.

The chance of showers is most likely in the afternoon and evening.

Winds west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending southeast to southwesterly during the day then tending northeast to southeasterly during the afternoon.
