Nickel Sulphate plant in early stages for Shark Lake Industrial Park, Esperance

A new nickel sulphate plant could pop up near Shark Lake Industrial Park after Alpha Fine Chemicals completed their pre-feasibility study into the site, according to the AFC website.

The location was chosen for its proximity to the Esperance Port and potential for local sources of nickel feedstock. The plant could produce 10,000 tonnes per year of high purity nickel sulphate in crystal form, together with  co-products in cobalt carbonate and magnesium sulphate.
