For the past eight years Esperance Mechanical Restoration Group has held a fundraising called “Keep your Sausage Sizzling” to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
The event has proved successful over the years.
This year the event is scheduled for Sunday, September 24 at McLean Rd between 10am and 4pm.
The display sheds will be open with tractors, trucks, cars motorbikes, stationary engines, blacksmith display, 110-year-old chaff cutter and many other agricultural implements.
There are also interesting displays of singer sewing machines, retro kitchen memorabilia.
The group has urged the community to come along and join in the fun.
“Invite your friends, family and neighbours too,” coordinator Liz Plecas said.
The group made special mention to Castletown Chemist for donation of a raffle to raise funds and to Woolworths and French Bread Shop for donations towards the sausage sizzle.
