Good turn out at South East Ladies Golf Association Singles Championships

The South East Ladies Golf Association Singles Championships were played at Munglinup Golf Club on the July 26 with a field of 25 players from within the association for the 27 hole event, with fine weather until the end of the day where everyone got rained on by a passing shower clearing as quickly as in came.

Sponsors included Peel Golf, Esperance Fright Lines, Midnight in Paris, Wool Agency Co Pty Ltd, Bunnings Warehouse and Secret Wishes.

The SELGA champion for 2017 with a 27 hole gross of 117 was Serena Parr from Hopetoun, the 27 hole gross runner up was Sherry Watson from Esperance with a score of 128.

The 27 hole nett winner was Michelle Gilmore from Munglinup with a score of 102.5, the 27 hole nett runner up was Julie Withers from Pink Lake with a score of 103.5.

The 18 hole Silver division nett winner was Coral Grant from Hopetoun with a score of 72.

The 18 hole Bronze 1 division nett winner was Liz Bott from Munglinup with a score of 69.

The 18 hole Bronze 2 division nett winner was Chloe Pickersgill from Munglinup with a score of 69.

The 18 hole Best Veteran nett winner was Irene Morocz from Pink Lake with a score of 73.

While the 18hole Best team was taken out by Lyn Daw from Ravensthorpe, Liz Bott from Munglinup and Chris Lewis from Pink Lake.
