Esperance Police charge cyclist for allegedly dealing drugs

A cyclist has been charged, after police allege the Nulsen man intended to deal drugs.

The 25-year-old was stopped, whilst cycling on Olympian Way around 9.30pm on Thursday.

After speaking to the man, police searched a satchel he was carrying.

Police allegedly found a book safe inside the satchel, which contained 12 clip seal bags of around 12 grams cannabis.

Numerous unused clip seal bags, a mobile phone and a ring were also found.

The cyclist was later charged with possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and unlawful possession of the jewellery and coins.

He was bailed to appear in Esperance Magistrate Court in August.
