THURSDAY’S golf was well attended with two visitors - Carl and Paul. Carl, a past member in the 90's, is from Harvey Golf Club and Paul, a local, has been nominated for membership. We all wish Paul a warm welcome to the club. The day's winner of the BE Stearne prize was Kevin Young with a great 36 points. Young was grateful to see his $150 swing working. This, along with some great captaincy from his partner, saw Young’s golf improve significantly on the second nine to turn an ordinary score into a winning one. Coming close with a credible 35 points was Rowey. Nearest the pins on the par three's went to Ian Riding (on two holes), Damon Ditchburn and Steve Poyner. Longest drive went to Carl and longest putt on No. 9 to Ken. Other good shots deserving a prize went to Jim Grey (17), Rowey (Tap Box), Ditchy (two’s club) and Riding (two’s club). The Tommy Wyndich prize went to Paul.

Next week's game will be Pink Lake IGA's stableford event. Visitors are welcome. Please be at the clubhouse by 11.45am.
