A man who barricaded himself in a bus for more than four hours and threatened police he would blow himself up has been spared an immediate jail term.
Robin David Gray, 56, armed himself with petrol, gas and a bow and arrow, before parking his blue and white bus in the centre of town on Friday, April 7.
Gray was charged with making a statement creating false apprehensions as to existence of threats or danger.
The charge carries a maximum term of 10 years imprisonment.
Gray, of no fixed address, was sentenced in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Monday to seven months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
