UPDATE: The woman has died in hospital. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
A woman who was fighting for her life after she was badly burnt in Hopetoun on Wednesday night has died in hospital.
The 35-year-old was allegedly building a fire when she sustained significant and serious burns to her body.
Local Emergency Services were called to a motel in Hopetoun about 10:30pm.
The woman was flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
Police media have revealed the incident is being treated as not suspicious, at this stage.
In a statement on Thursday morning a spokesperson said Police would continue to monitor the situation, but provided no further information.
