13’s Atletico vs Valencia

VALENCIA started hard and fast with Tina Barz having a crack at goals within seconds of starting. First goal went to Ben Murgatroyd for Atletico, who stylishly and rather smoothly kicked a beautiful shot, slipping past a quick footed Henco Maree. Valencia retaliated with a shining goal from Norton Staer, evening the playing field. 1-1 at half-time.

The second half commenced with a pearler of a pass from Brechto with Sally Barz shooting a great goal past the left side of Atletico’s keeper Adam Maccan. This was quickly followed by Sally skilfully popping the ball over the Adam's head and claiming another victorious goal for Valencia.

Atletico’s strong defence of Paige Scolaro, Dylan Hendersonn, and Lachie Hovingh was hotly contested by Valencia’s strong front line of Brechto Bezuidenhout, Norton Staer, and Sam Jefferies.

Last goal of the game was by a crafty Ben Murgatroyd for Atletico, skimming past Valencia’s Henco Maree, but the finals score was 3-2 to Valencia.

Both teams came out with energy and tenacity and Manchester's defence had to work hard to stop Morgan Lamb’s strong attempts at goals and great passing between Sam Torelli and Tanalia Bepete resulted in a beautiful first goal for Barcelona. Manchester finished the first half scoreless despite Tyler Fissioli’s persistence.

In the second half, some quick passing close to the goal resulted in a neat score by Sam Torelli followed not long after by another goal from Danny Clarke. Skillful footwork by Angus Shaw kept the ball in the Manchester’s possession, but they just couldn’t make a score past Vincent Newman, Josh Van Stadden and Luke Greatrex’s super strong defence.

Persistently strong play from Manchester’s Harry Tobin, Max Campbell, James Barr and Jake Eastwood was matched by the energy storm by Barcelona’s Liam Harris, Lachie Helenius and Mitchell Budrey. A great penalty scored by Luke Appleton gave Manchester their first goal.

A great fourth goal by Barcelona headed in by Tanaka Bepete, resulting in a final score of 4-1 to Barcelona.
