Jerdacuttup Primary School photo day

Jerdacuttup Primary School continued it’s decade-long traditional of a themed photo day with the help of some friendly Esperance bikers.

With just 12 students at the school, principal Kier Douthie said it afforded them the chance to do something different for their official school photos.

“I don’t know who was the most excited, the kids or the adults,” she said.

“It was incredibly generous.

“They traveled over 300 kilometres and took the whole day off.”

This was the 11th year of the school’s themed photo day, with previous years including antique cars and bush rangers.

This year saw eight riders on Harley Davidson’s roll into the school in front of an excited crowd.

Paul McKenzie, AKA ‘Slim’, organised the group to make the trip from Esperance out to Jerdacuttup on Wednesday, May 3.

“The guys who went said the looks on the kids’ faces was gold,” he said.

“It’s all about the children.

“We had a great time and it was a good ride over there.”
