Since my last column I’ve undertaken a fantastic trip to Perth, characterized by live music and general shenanigans.
Was so refreshing to roll up to a gig and just kick back and have a few beverages, I guess when I’m organizing gigs and running sound its difficult to relax and appreciate the music.
I’ve made a mental note to make sure I find some time each gig to just enjoy the event.
My visit to Perth showed me something else that the musical talent that resides in Esperance is of an exceptionally high calibre.
I believe a great many artists would hold their own and excel while venturing further afield. I also attended my first musical (Matilda) at Crown Theatre.
The tunes put together by Tim Minchin where phenomenal, so much fun.
Easter Weekend has come and passed, was rather hectic for myself with gigs Thursday through Sunday, though all thoroughly enjoyable.
A true highlight was the opening of Elements Art Exhibition at the Cannery. A fantastic turn out, and fantastic vibes, thank you too everyone who was a part of the event also to all who attended.
A casual weekend coming up at the Tea Rooms with myself Tom Clark and Joe Franzone playing Saturday night (22nd) from 7pm.
Sunday (23 rd April) sees south west artist Terry Mackintosh take to the stage from 4pm.
Terry has a diverse array of musical influences from Bob Dylan to Jeff Martin, with a collection of original and cover material to entertain all his performance is not too be missed.
