Esperance Police investigate Nulsen car dumping

Esperance Police are investigating an incident involving an abandoned car, after receiving reports a white ute had towed a vehicle through Nulsen on Wednesday.

The car, that has no wheels, was allegedly dragged down Rouse Street and Winston Way near the Gumtree Christian Fellowship Church in the morning.

Esperance Police Acting Senior Sergeant Ben Jeffes said police attended the area, after receiving a phone call from a concerned resident.

He said in an unrelated incident, police also received reports about a car being dumped in land behind the Wylie Bay Waste Facility, within the last 24 hours.

Clean up and removing abandoned cars is the responsibility of local government.

Shire of Esperance couldn’t confirm whether the car had been reported and removed from the scene.

External services director Terry Sargent said abandoned cars weren’t a common occurrence within the Shire of Esperance.
