Panning for gold

ESPERANCE Amateur Swim Club have had a busy couple of week, with Sunsmart Country Pennants, held in Kalgoorlie over the long weekend in March, and past Olympian Travis Nederpelt being here on the weekend for a swim clinic. Eight members represented Esperance at the Kalgoorlie meet, with the pool being the best place to be with high temperatures. Thirty country towns participated in the event, going from A-E grade. Esperance participated in E-grade, competing against Pinjarra, Busselton, Kellerberrin, Dalwallinu, and Wundowie, coming third overall, behind Pinjarra and Busselton.
