Disqualified driver charged for speeding on Coolgardie-Esperance Highway

A Castletown man who was already disqualified from driving for life has been charged with speeding after allegedly being caught travelling at 135kph in a 100kph zone.

The  24-year-old man was pulled over by Esperance Police at 9.15am on Thursday on Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, near 6 Mile Hill.

Senior Sergeant Richard Moore said the driver would have passed the scene of a crash that happened the day before.

The man will appear in the Esperance Magistrates Court at a later date to face charges of speeding and driving without a licence.

His vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
