ROUND 9 has ended with the Esperance senior high school boys and girls country week teams having their final hit out, with both teams only going down by a few points in each set. Esperance Volleyball Association wishes both teams good luck and all the best for next week.
A Grade - game 1 - Young Guns d Wildcats: The game was played in good spirits with three of the country week team girls stepping up and playing A grade. The second set was close but the young Guns stormed home in the third. Game 2 - The Kneepads d Sharks - A good game by both teams but the Kneepads won convincingly. Game 3 - Powerhouse d Misfits: Powerhouse were way to strong on the night winning 3-0.
A Grade - best on Court-Isaac Pilmer, Nick Wells.
A Reserves - Game 1 - Crims and Immigrants d ESHS C/W Boys: The teachers didn’t go easy on the boys, but the boys are really starting to put together some good plays.
Game 2 - Blade Runners d Mad Wuckers: The blade Runners are well out on top of the ladder now, undefeated in all of their games. Game 3 - No Names d Write Offs: the game was hotly contested with no names winning only by a few points in each set.
Game 4 - Erf Wetland Warriors d ESHS C/W Girls Team: The country week girls played well, it was a good game with great serving from both teams. The Wetland Warriors just had a better game on the night.
A Reserves – best on court- T Moray, Tom Firth, Mitchell Waideman, Serena Shaddick.
B Grade - Game 1- Jetset d Wii Not Fit: Jetset lost their way in the second set but won convincingly the other two. Brook Creedon excelled at her service game to take half the points for her team.
Game 2 – Bindy’s Bunch d Rough Riders: Great serving, good sets and nice team spirit.
Couplez Chaos d Bounce the Serve: It was a great game by all players, with close sets and some great rallies. The skill levels improved as the game went on.
B Grade – Best On court- Haylee Quinton, Michael Mackean, Nga Teopu.
