Now at 15, Jamie’s involvement with netball has been such that she has earned accolades from fellow players.
“I enjoy the social side and the competitiveness that comes with playing netball,” she said.
“I was born in Esperance so I get to play with a lot of the friends I’ve grown up with - which makes it all the more fun.”
Despite the intensity of training being what Jamie describes as gruelling, she is not dissuaded by the long hours she’ll have to put into a sport she wants to get good at.
“It is full on - but you get used to it,” she said.
