ESPERANCE Netball Association will be celebrating 50 Years of Netball at 6.30pm on Saturday September 11 at the Esperance Civic Centre following the Esperance Netball Association Grand Finals at the Esperance Indoor Stadium, which begin at 1 pm.
All players past and present, coaches, umpires and office bearers are invited. Tickets are $25, please contact your club to purchase your ticket.
The Reunion Committee is keen to showcase netball with a display of local netball memorabilia and photos. If you have any items of interest please contact Jan Feigert on 9071 7918.

Professionals A1: Surfers1 58 d TDS1 38, best players: Narelle Alstead, Emily Sainty, Sarah Bridge and Shelby McAllister. Surfers started strong. TDS played themselves into the game in the second half. Good accurate shooting by both teams. Rookies1 23 d Newtown1 18. Best players: Hayley Smith, Kirsty Capelli, Bec Green and Barb Devine. Quick clean game with super pick offs at both ends. Gibson1 52 d Mallee1 37. Best players: Tyler Thornton, Katherine Van Kuelen, Brodie Bratten and Nicole Strickland. Brodie’s shooting kept Mallee going although Kelsey’s drive through the centre meant Gibson came away with the win.
Avis A2: Newtown2 33 d TDS2 29. Best players: Tara Liegbrets, Lisa Devine, Kiara Mickel and Abby Foxon. Well contested game TDS started well but their second quarter let them down and gave Newtown a lead which they maintained for the game. Surfers2 55 d Rookies2 33. Best players: Melissa Hickey, Tahnee Adamson, Georgia Grant and Elle Maloney. Mallee2 47 d Gibson2 34. Best players: Peta Anderson, Terri Anderson, Donna Curnow and Sally Walter. Very clean game by both teams. Mallee shooters were just too strong in the end.
A3: Gibson3 41 d Newtown3 27. Best players: Hayley Watkins, Hannah Smythe, Sharnae Zanotti and Fiona Spencer. Even start by both teams with strong midcourt pressure by Gibson in the second quarter proving the difference, with the shooters capitalising on their opportunities. Newtown4 42 d Surfers3 31. Best players: Kellie Kirkup, Kim Robartson, Nola Nicoll and Leila Brensell. A close first quarter then Newtown steadily increased their work rate in the remaining quarters which was reflected in the final score. Accurate shooting by both teams.
A4: Gibson4 39 d Surfers 4 36. Best players: Elly Welke, Anna Badge, Kirsty Malone and Kate O’Dowell. A good fast game ending in close scores but Gibson came away with the win. Newtown5 38 d TDS4 14. Best players: Skye Mercer, Sarah McDonald, Amee Capelli and Georgia Harris. Newtown played strongly in all positions. Gibson5 60 d Rookies4 40. Best players: Sarah Walsh, Linda Bonney, bec Skinner and Sarah Bonet. A good clean game with high scores by both teams.
A5: Mallee3 33 d Mallee4 26. Best players: Brooke Creedon, Nicole Anderton, S Philips and j Lewis. Close contest all over the court. Rookies5 42 d Newtown 6 18. Best players: Kayla Savi, Sophie Smith, Corrine Waight and Rebeka Landsdown. Well played by both teams. Newtown passes well down the line but Rookies circle play is just too strong.
