Action packed weekend at Esperance Speedway

06 Jan, 2012 01:00 AM
Saturday night saw the beginning of the WASCF Smokefree WA Junior Sedan State Title at McD Contracting Esperance Speedway.

Two heats were all Mother Nature would allow before racing was declared over for the night at 8:15.

Sunday afternoon saw action packed, adrenaline rushing, gruelling 11 hours of roll-overs, crashes and wall crushing racing.

Hayden Purnell fought hard to take the honour of WA number 1.

Fifty eight cars started the event and fifty six were still running on Sunday night for the finals, this is a credit to the drivers, crews and volunteers as there were numerous roll-overs throughout the day.
