THERE was an excellent turn out for the 3km Esperance Freight Recherche swim, which was well supported by both club members and non-members.
The beach conditions were calm with very little wind, the water temperature was lower than normal, which was a problem for some swimmers.
Josh Ellett took out the first spot of the Open Male, second was Shannon Dixon, third Chris Brien.
Open Female winner was Cathy Stevens, second Jill Fitzpatrick and third Lisa Blackham.
Under 15s first Female was Katie Bero, second Libby Carter, third Jordyn Bradley.
Masters (over 50) male Brian Kerr, Shaun Beros and Graham Donovan.
Women Masters first Kath Donovan, encouragement awards allocated to Allison MacArthur and Olivia Morris.
Thanks to club members who do an excellent job providing water safety for these events and club activities.
This weekend is the Country State Championships and the Masters State Championships to be held on Saturday and on Sunday at City Beach in Perth.
A team of competitors headed there on Friday to take part in the events.
While the team is in Perth, Twilight Beach will still be patrolled on Sunday as usual.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings are a hive of various activities from Juniors through to Masters improving their fitness and skills at Twilight Beach.
