DARE To Wear is preparing for another exciting event where artists can express themselves through wearable art.
Esperance Community Arts and the Cannery Arts Centre have partnered to stage the return of Dare to Wear in conjunction with the Esperance Arts Awards at the end of 2010.
And they are calling all fashionistas, costume designers, textile artists, vintage crafters and models to take part.
ECA executive officer Amber Perryman said the event was a great concept as it gave people with textile based-skills an opportunity to explore their wildest and most creative ideas.
“It also provides a totally unique event in which to showcase their finished results,” she said.
Cannery centre manager Shannan Gillespie said Dare to Wear is a popular way for artists to bring their works to the wider community in a fun and unique way.
“As a previous participant in several of these events I look forward to being involved in Dare to Wear 2010,” she said.
An information session will be held at the Cannery Arts Centre’s meeting room on Monday, August 2 at 5pm. All those who wish to take part must attend the meeting to get the information and expression of interest forms.
